ChvrchesBoilerRoom

There is a good chance The Bones Of What You Believe, the debut album by Scottish synth-poppers Chvrches, will end up in my top 10 albums list when 2013 is said and done — and not because I’m, like, anti-guitar or something, just because the songs sweep me away. Part of me questions my decision to see Deerhunter over Chvrches when the bands played my town on the same night — and that Deerhunter show was the best concert I’ve seen all year. Chvrches are just that good. So I’m excited that the online music show Boiler Room has posted a four-song set recorded last month in London featuring Bones tracks “Gun,” “Under The Tide,” and “The Mother We Share” plus the group’s cover of Whitney Houston’s “It’s Not Right But It’s Okay.” Watch the full performance below.

  1. Trolling Boiler Room with Whitney is not as inspired as trolling with Taylor Swift and All I Want For Christmas.
