Baths – “Fade White”

By Sam Behrens / May 2, 2014

Baths’ new track, “Fade White,” is an eerie journey into nothingness. The percussion that sits underneath the quiet intro sounds like creaking floorboards, or canvas pulled taught over a drum head. The track creeps along, moved forward by a purposeful pulsation. Smooth, frictionless falsetto floats overhead — pleading with us to “fade away with me.” The song fizzles into oblivion, fulfilling the titular promise of a fade to white. Listen below.
