Twin Shadow In Tour Bus Crash

Twin Shadow’s tour bus was involved in a multiple car accident at 8:30AM this morning reports The Denver Post. The crash occurred on I-70 near Denver — which is currently shut down in both directions near the site of the crash — and resulted in multiple injuries that range from minor to serious.

Bassist/keyboardist Spencer Zahn texted his mother Dorrelle Zahn about the crash. She said that he wrote “I’ve been in an accident. I’m in pain but I am conscious. Help is here,” because he knew she would be a “worry wart.” According to Dorelle Zahn the band have been transported to the hospital, but there are conflicting reports and Spencer wouldn’t detail his injuries to her. Jesse Aaron Paul, a reporter at the scene, is tweeting updates.

The crash involved two FedEx semi-tractor trailers, two tour buses and a motor home. Weather conditions including heavy fog were a factor in the accident, and it’s also snowing and raining in Colorado. State patrol Trooper Josh Lewis responded to the accident and said that of the band’s two tour buses, the crew tour bus took the brunt of the damage. “The only people transported were from the crew bus,” Lewis said. The driver of the crew bus was seriously injured, and has been hospitalized along with 11 other people who sustained minor and moderate injuries.

Twin Shadow are currently touring in support of their latest album Eclipse. They performed in Lawrence, Kansas last night. Their scheduled performance at the Bluebird Theater in Denver tonight is canceled. No word yet whether members of the band sustained injuries.
