Pusha T Reportedly Wrote McDonald’s “I’m Lovin It” Jingle

Rap’s drug overlord Pusha T has served many a customer illegally, according to his rhymes, but he may be part of the reason why McDonald’s can tout that famous “Over 99 Billion Served” tagline. In an interview on NYC’s Hot 97 radio station, entrepreneur, author, and the original Sean Combs assault target Steve Stoute said that the G.O.O.D. Music president was responsible for McDonald’s crazy catchy “I’m Lovin’ It” jingle. Radio host Ebro thought Justin Timberlake and Pharrell were responsible for the jingle, but Stoute claims Push wrote it for his marketing agency Translation 11 years ago. If you’ve ever seen Super Size Me or eaten a Mickey D’s burger for yourself, you know Push was basically just slanging a more lucrative drug. Replacing the coke references in “Drug Dealer’s Anonymous” with McDonald’s burgers is pretty hilarious. Stoute also claims Nas ghostwrote for Will Smith, and shared some Kobe Bryant rap stories. Watch the interview with Ebro and Stoute below.

UPDATE: Shouts to joelyhighroller for finding the commercial with Pusha T rapping on a longer version of the jingle below.
