Norah Jones "Young Blood" video

Norah Jones debuted The Fall‘s fairly non-rock “Young Blood” at Apple’s “Rock And Roll” product conference in September. Now, via iTunes premiere, it has an official video these ten folks can watch on their iPads. The clip was put together by Toben Seymour, a British director and puppeteer, who’s also worked with Moby, will.i.am, and Kanye West. Unlike the one-woman-and-her-sailing-brownstone vibe of “Chasing Pirates,” these frames include Mondrian-like screen divisions populated with plenty of extras and set pieces literalizing the lyrics. Of course, there’s still plenty of Jones, too. Watch at YouTube, and purchase here.

The Fall is out via Blue Note.

Today, Adele, her own hotel room full of tiny Victrola-shaped trophies, faces a fundamental question? What next? Where do you go from the top? Houston’s short, troubled time provided a blueprint of what not to do.  Her talent was boundless ...
Norah Jones' Broken Hearts Club
When Norah Jones won approximately 8,000 Grammys for her debut Come Away With Me, (which was either just classy enough or too classy, depending on your perspective) there were lots of jokes about wine and cheese parties and Things Moms Like. Maybe this ...

  1. Hi Brandon and Stereogum,

    Thanks for the post!
A friend from high school just posted a link to this article on my FB and I wanted to let you know that I’m not British. I do work with a number of artists from London and Paris but I am actually from Cedarburg, Wisconsin. Just want to set the record straight. I currently live in Venice, CA but someday I hope to move back to Wisconsin and build a studio out of a barn. Sort of like Edison’s ‘Black Maria.’

    All the best from Toben
