Wolf Parade’s third full-length Expo 86 is due this summer on Sub Pop, which means it’s time for fan-videos of new material played at live shows. The first to surface is the Spencer Krug-fronted “Fast Ballad,” probably a working title that stuck around too long. “Mid Tempo New Wave Disco Ballad” could have been an option, too.

  1. It has a solid groove to it. Stays with that vibe they had going on the back half of At Mount Zoomer.

  2. I was there, like 2 feet from the stage. Amazing show.

Anyways, the new stuff sounds awesome. it’s like all the good parts of both Apologies and Mt. Zoomer. Combined. Beyonce and Caveosapian are my favourites so far.

  3. Yes! this sounds good, looking forward to the next album. P4K said this sounded like Franz Ferdinand, I would have to disagree (not that I have anything against FF).
