They’ve covered Phoenix and tracked for Passion Pit, now the most reliably heartwarming and hipster credentialed chorus of 5th graders in Staten Island tackle Beach House’s Teen Dream opening cut “Zebra.” Well more like like give it an adorable embrace than a tackle, but you get it: Little humans from “a wide cross section of ethnic groups and socio-economic levels” taking an already affectionately rendered track and giving it some of that cute kid sheen. If we’re being critical: This isn’t as transformatively touching as their spin on “Lisztomania,” but it doesn’t need to be. Plus kids in 5th grade don’t read Stereogum so I can say whatever I want to. THERE IS NO SANTA CLAUS. Enjoy:

  1. i don’t like how they changed the melody on the first line of the chorus. their phoenix cover was better.

  2. I am always so impressed with this groups work. That director is introducing these kids into some great music.

  3. i’m actually pretty sick of these videos.

  4. a bit fast, right?
