A lot of people have a lot of complaints about the Drums (and their past projects), but Jonathan Pierce’s weirdly expressive robotic dancing/carefully rolled high waters, the pack of wee hipsters, and the obviously Smiths-y atmosphere of the video for “Forever And Ever Amen” make for harmless summertime fun. Something that comes in handy now and again. It’s from their forthcoming full-length debut.

The Drums is out 6/7 via Moshi Moshi/Island.
