I mentioned Wetdog in passing last year because of their split with Blessure Grave then gave them a proper post for “Lower Leg,” the first single from their second album Frauhaus!. It’s there that I passed along the promo tidbit about “The Wicker Man, Syd Barrett and Robert Crumb [being] just as likely to feature in any album-related discussions” as ’80s Welsh rock and Gorky’s Zygotic Mynci frontman Euros Childs. This time the UK punk trio focus on ice cream. Their hypnotic Margarita Louca-directed video for “Wymmin’s Final” opens suggestively and then gets suggestively violent before a mask is donned, all of which makes me wonder if they’re also into discussions about Paul McCarthy and Lightning Bolt-wear.
