Last night Squeeze played with Cheap Trick at Radio City Music Hall even though it isn’t 1980. Earlier in the day they visited Late Night With Jimmy Fallon where they did a spirited, iPad-updated take on the Argybargy classic “Pulling Mussels (From The Shell)” as part of their Spot The Difference promotional campaign.
Spot The Difference is out 8/3 via Anchor & Hope. It finds the guys doing re-recordings of 14 old hits/favorites. It’s unclear if the iPad is the difference maker.

Bet Jools Holland never would’ve done an iPad solo
what a great song…but that ipad was such a lame attempt at trying to look hip and relevant. that dude would’ve played that little solo a lot better on, say, any physical keyboard. 99% of the song he’s holding it for the sake of holding it.
He didnt use the ipad to look cool, they were booked last minute and he couldnt get the sound he needed off the house keyboard. Hey plays with two key boards normally… so therefore he used his iPad because he was able to get the sound he needed.
no matter how late you’re booked on any of the major NY shows, they still have the capabilities of backlining a keyboard for you. he wanted to use that ipad bad
