Kid Cudi packed the stage with lots of friends for “Maniac.” St. Vincent did her sample — from Actor’s “The Strangers” live, while Cage sang/rapped and the Roots backed them. The best instrument on stage, besides St. Vincent’s pipes (and Cage’s leather jacket), was the iPhone used for extra percussion. Watch:

  1. Zach G needs to go away.

  2. Hodamn. Cudi rocked this.

  3. didn’t expect him to pull this song of that well.

  4. Haha, St. Vincent looks so bored and put off.

  5. Kid Cudi should not be able to hold a guitar on the same stage as St. Vincent

  6. He uses St. Vincent samples on the studio version, so she’s obviously okay with it. Something a lotta people don’t realize is that the engineer and tech guru behind Kid Cudi is the same guy behind most Kanye West, Anthony Kilhoffer who “cut his teeth” on R. Kelly. Keep on eye on the dude.

  7. I love St. Vincent, like Cudi and don’t know who Cage is. With that being said… this is awful.

  8. So proud of my boy CAGE. Can’t wait for Shia to direct the next video.
