Robyn Documentary

Sveriges Television, the public broadcasting network of Sweden, is airing an hour-long documentary on Robyn this month. The documentary covers her early days through to Body Talk, and includes interviews with producers, ex-managers, and other important people in her life (including her parents who talk about her showbiz childhood). When Robyn is frustrated, she really lets it show — the above still is her talking about having to be physically restrained by her ex-manager while she was having a breakdown. The film is all in Swedish, but you can watch it via YouTube below, where uploader r8ght has helpfully provided English subtitles. Just hit the “CC” button:

    • She makes some pretty great pop music. I’d agree that certain odd infatuations are present on this and other indie music blogs (Lil Wayne anyone?), but I don’t have a real problem with her’s.

  2. I speak a few languages but not Swedish. I don’t have any subtitles in these.
