Stream Prince Rama's Trust Now

We’ve cited Brooklyn psych rock warriors Prince Rama both as overlooked and also one of last year’s best new bands, and now here’s a stream of the outfit’s (now a duo consisting of sisters Taraka and Nimai Larson) sophomore LP Trust Now. Its easily their most fully formed release, as the sisters Larson reign the drone and create a singular headspace enveloped by hand drums, chants, and majestic atmosphere.

Trust Now is out 10/4 on Paw Tracks.

  1. I’m really loving this. It’s not a whole lot different from the first album, but it’s melting my face as I type this (on my second listen through). The last track, “Golden Silence,” is simply fantastic and is one of the many highlights to be found here. It seems like these sisters didn’t miss a beat even with the departure of Michael Collins. Oh, and that picture is ridiculous in a fantastic way.

    • I couldn’t agree more on every point. I blast this every morning. The weird energy that comes out of this album is comparable only to Amon Duul II at their height in the 70s.

  2. It’s actually not their sophomore effort. It’s their fifth album.
