MTV is still on the air?

  3. I love how they just put the artist’s names for every category, no matter how little they had to do with the choreography or directing. Can’t those guys get just a little credit?

  4. This reminds me of the Grammy Awards: I love music, and may be the last-surviving human on Planet Earth to actually pay for it, but have no interest in any music awards show. I just don’t see the relevance of these nominees to anything interesting that’s going on in the music biz.

Did anybody else notice that Yeah Yeah Yeahs got nominated for Breakthrough Video? Weirder still: for “Heads Will Roll”? Was it in Twilight or something?

  6. maybe they should have an award for “Worst Award Show” and then they would lose out narrowly to the Teen Choice Awards.

seriously what’s up with the “best video that should’ve won” category? radiohead? bjork? all sorts of things they passed over? are they gonna be doing that ten years from now with dirty projectors and grizzly bear? come on MTV, catch up

  8. The most videos MTV has played this year was the day Michael Jackson died. Sad.
