A couple days ago we saw Nick Cave going through his “Night Of The Lotus Eaters” and then yesterday heard Phosphorescent covering one of his oldies. Showing no end to the influx of Cave and his Bad Seeds, here’s another Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard-directed video, this one for slow-and-steady Dig Lazarus Dig!!! tune “More News From Nowhere.” The clip involves strippers, old dudes, drinking games, a bathroom breakdown, and Nick in a St. Kilda Beach t-shirt, again reminding us of Angus Andrew. Ok, vice versa, music historians.
That awesome mustache is all the more glorious in this context. Nick, you are suave. The Seeds aren’t too shabby either, especially bad-ass drummer Jim Sclavunos. We hope to age as gracefully, and with just as many strippers.
Dig, Lazarus, Dig!!! is out in the UK on Mute and in the US on Anti-. We do dig, we do.

That might be my favorite song off the album. Kinda suprised they didn’t edit anything out of it for a single, though.
Also, I wish they’d shown more of the sad girl, the one who looks kinda like Bat For Lashes….
I love to see him dance. He is truly a gifted performer.
