If you thought listening to or watching Scarlett sing was a bit awkward, just wait until you watch this clip of her sitting down for a discussion with Blondie. It’s part of MySpace’s “Artist On Artist” series. They were paired because Anywhere I Lay My Head is new and Parallel Lines is 30 years old. And they both have blonde hair. (Seriously, MySpace makes note of that.) Also, Harry used to be a sex symbol, and many people want to sleep with Scarlett now. They get going by talking about awkward encounters with famous folks they admire (Robert De Niro for Debbie, Peter Falk for Johansson). Wonder where this one ranks on that list?

The bit about recording in swamps and humidity is less uninteresting than the rest of it. For MySpace’s next pairing, can we suggest Craig Finn and Jason Alexander? Should be equally stimulating.

Craig could teach Jason that dance he does where he looks like he’s about to pull his hair out.
