same. days are gone is wonderful (honey and i is so so good), and i'll fight anyone who doesn't love their SNL rendition of little of your love. i will say tho, last album felt like they were losing steam. some of the poppier songs didn't quite land, and the ones in their wheelhouse felt tired, but WOW this album is incredible. easily the best album they've ever made? i went in with lukewarm expectations and didn't listen to any of the advance singles, which maybe helps, but damn this is a hell of a record. the experimentation with different styles absolutely lands, and to my ears there's not one song that serves as filler. arca and a great haim album in one week, TYBG

not a j cole fan in the slightest, but knowing the demographic skews very white here, maybe y’all should reflect on the optics/necessity of criticizing a black man’s response to a situation that’s directly affecting his community, one most here have no relation to. this is probably the time to take the back seat

damn they really changed up that tracklist. tbh pretty sad to see the absence of "i can never be myself when you're around," "cherry," and "in film." the album that could've been lost to time (and the ocean?)

it's actually incredible how well kaputt holds up after all these years. prob been listening to that album at least once a month for the past decade. bay of pigs is one of the greatest songs of all time there ya go

i'm def one of those ppl where confirmation absolutely knocked me off my feet. i still remember exactly where i was when i first heard it...on a run, beautiful sunny california day with a light breeze, mmm. and it led directly into blue rose by amen dunes! anyways this is prob my fav track since confirmation, def recaptures that airy, breezy mood confirmation perfected. also don't sleep on him live. his voice is insane
