This coming out on 3/13 is perfect too, 313 being Detroit’s area code.
Man, it took me clicking the link to the Token video to realize these were produced by Dean Blunt and not Dean Spunt. Really like them though, I've been relistening to Person Pitch and Strawberry Jam lately and not used to hearing Noah's voice so clear and unobscured.
I remember when I was like, 9 nine years old, and my friends and I first encountered parkour thanks to some nerds at the mall (who said they were "freestyle walking", which, LOL); we thought it was the most ridiculous thing in the world. In the years to come we would continue to mock it on occasion when walking somewhere (for example, ollieing, just without a skateboard, while yelling "FREESTYLE WALKING!") That was when I was 9. And at 26 those goofy kids are still all I can think of when I see parkour videos.
I'm sure if I were a celebrity I wouldn't remember 95% of the names of people I met either (you know, since most of them see you on the street and just yell at you for a second or whatever). Jason Segel, who I met/talked with several times at the bar, remembered my name and seemed to know the names of like everyone else I worked with when they showed up at the bar he frequented... so... you know, it's not all celebrities. (though, to be fair, he may not come from as much of a design/aesthetic point of view)
Yikes, I can't believe how many negative comments there are! Personally, I just finished my first listen and I thought it was fantastic. This will be on repeat all summer.
Ugh, I hate this. I went to his page and in the time it took me to read over the whole (lame) summary and prizes and stuff he had gained like 500 supporters and $50,000 (and I read pretty quickly). I would love to be able to raise even that much (50k, not 2M) to film a project I've wanted to do for a long time, but I've never been on tv. I realize this is mostly a selfish complaint, but every time I see these people with NOTHING BUT access to options for financing their creative projects begging for money- and then GETTING it- well, it just annoys me.
I went to Michigan and lived in Ann Arbor for most of my life, so naturally I think this is terrible. That being said, for being terrible, that was pretty amazing.
Agreed. Thirded. I'm a huge Kubrick fan and I've only seen this once (last year, at the theater) and I've been meaning to rewatch it ever since. It was so much better than I expected going into it. Plus, I think it fits well into the The Game thing. It was released recent enough that most of us should remember when it came out and probably haven't seen it since. And it's so good. I don't care if we watch it or not, I'm watching it tonight. Actually, I'm gonna watch it right now.
Kelly, I'm gonna start watching this just for you.
Love and Honor was filmed around where I live, and I got to know Teresa Palmer while she was here (though I had no clue who she was for a while)... But now watching that trailer I'm WILDLY disappointed it wasn't Aimee Teegarden I met... Or even just saw.. For a second... (long enough to propose, at least)
You guys know his first name is actually Ed? Like, seriously? He's great but I couldn't finish watching this...
Yeah, I definitely wouldn't consider that a flaw. I mean, MAYYYBE he could change the music up every now and then, but otherwise DO WORK SON!
The guys just need to tell the women they can do it (if they put their back in to it).
Oh, goddamnit, I genuinely forgot about the comment I was replying to... which, despite the odd spelling, I think beat me to FISHssors. :(
Or SHEARanhas! Right...? (SHEARanhas narrowly beat out my original idea, ScissorFISHs and- HOLY SHIT, just realized, FISHssors)
Man, how much do I wanna marry Rashida Jones in that picture...? (a lot.)
I'm also not a fan of these proposals that seem more like they happened because the guy wanted to make a viral video, BUT... I think him calling her his "adventure buddy" is the dorkiest, goofiest, most adorable thing I've ever seen in one of these videos, so, this one gets a pass. Plus, you know Jurassic Park.
