George Clanton & Negative Gemini followed me on Instagram way back when they lived in Vancouver and I looked up all their stuff after. Haven't looked back since.
The best album released last Thursday was Rich Brian's The Sailor and we aren't even talking about that.
One of Drake's worst lyrical performances if I'm being honest.
I dunno if it's because I grew up with Drake's incessant desire/success to be in touch with youth culture or if I've basically accepted this overwhelming change like the last stage of grief, but the fact that an entire section of a youth's life exists around the fascination/livelihood of social exhibition and that we should seriously consider our attitudes on whether it is "ethically" wrong to engage in social media tropes of self-promotion and narcissism (that which actually contradicts the idea of auhenticity) as this generational shift seemingly pressures us to not be unnoticed or forgotten within the social infrastructure of it all.
ASAP crew has never felt more irrelevant in Hip-Hop. Sorta saddened by that, but you know, they could actually focus on making better music.
The greatest travesty on the new album is that it's Future and not Lil Uzi Vert on End Game and that about sums it up for me.
I saw them open for Japanese Breakfast, not knowing who they were at all and they killed it. This is sad to hear because Bed is definitely my sleeper jam of 2017.
man, this is insaaane.
Tom, are we not going to talk about the stellar Brockhampton album at all?
Does this mean we're in for some DJ Khaled level foolery or are we getting beats by 40? Important details.
Unbelievable how good Jeezy sounds on this. Steals the show for me.
Here's one oversized thumbs up.
No worries. Kendrick hype levels just very high for everyone.
But also, it's a sad day even with my lowered expectations.
Let it be known that I got 5 downvotes for predicting this. "Nothing concrete was promised :')"
Nothing exactly concrete was promised on April 7th, not even an album. Keeping everyone's expectations at bay here :')
Kendrick was talking about Calvin Harris on April 7th. As in, "Calvin Harris, get your shit together", I bet.
