give me that icelandic shit
I wouldn't generally describe Paul Banks as soulful, but this pulls it off.
Great bridge too, I really like this
Yes! when the song really kicks off, fuck yeah
Really excited for this album. Couldn't be more in my wheelhouse.
I won't downvote you, but I will disagree. While I see overlap I think they're both approaching this from completely different angles.
It's really fucking good. I'd love to see it set to vid of orangutans introspectively sawing branches
(I enjoyed it a little bit)
*listens to Blood Incantations* well not sure what I was expecting
"The bodies that host her carry fetishes for paralinguistics, breaking the fourth wall and nurturing a mutant faith in love in the face of fear." a little on-the-nose but okay
There is a third option, one you should employ *way* more often.

gonna real enjoy this new chill cat blochead for as long as it lasts the next few minutes.
FTR - some of us give many shits about Zola Jesus. and I hate you for making me say it like that.
but seriously, as a fan of both: I totally get Zola Jesus concerns, but I also think it's a shame they are such at odds, because they could make such awesome collabs. maybe someday.
I will disagree with myself on another day about another artist, but I think we sometimes have to let artists just kinda speak off the cuff, muse on things that are half-understood. After all, I think the better art is more about expression than Being Right. Not that she should be free of criticism. I dunno. It's just not what grimes does, not what I expect from her. I don't want a convincing essay from grimes. I want her to abstract concepts beyond recognition and filter them through her myriad influences. I want out there sci-fi.
