Watch The xx Play “Sunset” & “Reunion” In Hollywood

The xx’s cheekily titled Coexist LP is out this fall. Consequently, the tour they’re on now has setlists that are very Coexistential. (Look they opened the door, I’m just walking through.) We’ve heard “Angels” and “Swept Away,” and here are two more album cuts from a show a couple weeks ago at the Fonda Theater: the reverb-soaked “Sunset,” which is as romantically charged with beauty-in-the-face-of-inevitable-darkness as its title suggests, and “Reunion,” which has Romy and Oliver duetting over the sort of spacious, wistful, steel-drum-flecked thumping production Jamie XX has honed over the past few years.
