Grand Theft Auto has something for everyone — even if you don’t enjoy the depravity promoted by the game, the lengthy soundtrack and private stations contained within GTA are revolutionary when it comes to incorporating music into video games. The most recent version, GTA V, is set to relaunch on Tuesday with a modified version for Playstation 4 and Xbox One, which will include an additional 162 songs on its soundtrack. Of the 162 new songs and mixes, Jamie Lidell’s raucous trap endeavor “Run Away,” which was recorded specifically for the improved GTA V soundtrack, is definitely a highlight. In “Run Away,” Lidell’s soulful vocals occupy the space left between the low pitch of a rumbling bass and the delicacy of a chiming xylophone. Listen.
