Have you seen this Motrin-gate scandal? Moms everywhere are FREAKING OUT about it. This weekend, a bunch of moms got together on Twitter and everywhere to organize a boycott based on this commercial which insinuates that baby-wearing can be painful, causing Motrin to take down their own website. It’s an annoying, weird, laser-targeted ad, but probably not a reason to boycott Motrin:
I’m sure that “wearing your baby” is a common term at playgrounds, but to people without children, it just sounds silly. “What are you wearing to the party?” “Oh, my blue dress and a baby.” I wonder if this commercial would be banned in Australia, where they sell tampons with an animatronic beaver. Winner of the week: ADVIL.
