Pet Symmetry – “Give Thanks (Get Lost)”

As the frontman of the Chicago band Into It. Over It., Evan Weiss is right at the forefront of the still-raging emo revival. And like all good emo frontmen, he holds down a generous handful of side projects. One of those is the trio Pet Symmetry, which features members of Kittyhawk and Dowsing. And if their new song “Give Thanks (Get Lost)” is anything to go by, the new band combines those surging, sugary pop-punk hooks that we might expect with some seriously big and nasty guitars. The song has a little Hüsker Dü in it, and it’s the first single from the band’s forthcoming debut album Pet Hounds. Listen to it below.
