Sun Club – “Worm City” (Stereogum Premiere)

Equal parts psychedelic guitar fuzz and uncompromising sing-babble, Sun Club’s newest track “Worm City” is sun-bleached and aching of euphoria. The Baltimore five-piece fiddles with jangly guitar-pop that lies fixedly between a sober version of ATO labelmates King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard and a more hedonistic Tame Impala, delightfully reverb-soaked and hinging on the barriers of what it means to be “pop.” It’s sonic debauchery, as intoxicating as it is lawless. The track is pulled from Sun Club’s new album The Dongo Durango, released later this month. Listen below.

The Dongo Durango is out 10/30 via ATO Records. Pre-order it here.
