Toronto rapper/singer Ramriddlz makes a sweet-sounding genre potpourri of hip-hop, dancehall, soca, R&B, and a little electro, which has received Drake’s cosign of doom or validation (only time will tell) in the form of a remix to his biggest so far, “Sweeterman.” Ramriddlz may very well end up on OVO Sound, but for now he’s had a string of notable loosies. His latest, “Bodmon,” is strictly for the young and sexy. He details how proper his mattress game is, even while lifted (“Smoking weed and staying high”), in a whimsical winding voice. His vocals nestle in a cradle of deep synth dancehall rhythms, and a quick hitting drum sequence with light trap-y hi hats. This joint is definitely something to wine to, especially dutty.
