Later this week, the Australia-born, Oakland-based singer-songwriter Hazel English will release the new EP Never Going Home, and we’ve posted her “I’m Fine” and her video for the title track. Today, she’s shared another video, this one for the nervy and breathy “Control.” In the rapturously shot video, English plays a bored waitress at a diner in what appears to be the California desert. She lives in a motel and spends her spare time out in the wilderness, and director Kate Cox goes heavy on American iconography and lens flares. Check it out below, via Gorilla Vs. Bear.
Never Going Home is out 10/7.
