I am not old enough to have watched Norman Lear’s classic sitcom One Day At A Time, but I am old enough to have checked a bunch of Gloria Estefan CDs out from my public library during elementary school. So it’s pleasing to report that Estefan has recorded a new version of the One Day At A Time theme for Netflix’s new reboot, centered on a Cuban-American family and starring Rita Moreno. The rhythm is gonna get you below via Vulture.

I still prefer Estefan’s take on “Turn The Beat Around,” but it’s nice to know her cover game remains strong. The new One Day At A Time hits Netflix on 1/6.
