Am I understanding this correctly? Lindsey was mean to Harry Styles and then Stevie was visited by the ghosts of her parents who told her to dump Lindsey from the band so she did? | |

Grrrr.... this song touches on one of THE most annoyingly aggravating and grating musical 'styles' for me - the "Heavy Handed Gloved Thanos Banging Out the Chorus Melody on Synths in a Truly Remidial, Neanderthal Way Style". I HATE that shit. It's a brat sibling doing the Repeat Game and the whole "I'm not touching you" shtick in the family car on any car ride. Clang-clang-clang-clang-clang-clang-clang..... It's basically saying "we think listeners are soooo dumb they won't understand what a hook is unless we piledrive it into their head". Fuckers. 🤬
I really don't know how they pulled off "Something Just Like This", because I really like that song. I like the buildup, and it really suits Chris Martin's voice, which I'm normally not fond of.
But "Closer" is shit. And it was #1 for 3 friggin months. That was a lonnnng stretch of constant channel changing for me back then. Ugh And now the stupid clang-clang-bang infantile beat is lingering in my head. Fuckers.

Maybe Obama shouldn't be up there saying "he looks calm and ready to drop bombs."
Look, the canceled tour story was fun for a few laughs and cheap shots, but ultimately the Black Keys were just the unlucky poster child for a bunch of canceled tours with pricing miscalculations. I ended up feeling bad for them.
This, however? Absolutely deserving of ridicule.
"It appears to be an event geared around getting out the vote for cryptocurrency-friendly candidates? (UPDATE: I’m told the crypto movement is putting in work to unseat Democratic Senator Sherrod Brown, a crypto critic, so this event might actually help deliver the Senate to the Republicans?)"
Yes, this is what crypo bros are all about lately. See Fairshake or the Stand With Crypto PAC, for example. The part of America that loves crypto never had any morals to begin with, so it shouldn't be at all surprising that they'd rather see fascists elected than have their "business" (more) regulated.
That's a pretty small amount of locations, but I guess it's hard to find venues when half of your acts aren't allowed to be near schools and playgrounds.

“Comments are turned off on the band’s Instagram post announcing this gig.”
I’ll bet!
Radiohead is following their Muse? I thought it was usually the other way around...
