New Marilyn Manson – “If I Was Your Vampire”

Brian Warner’s made no secret of the depression that inspired his forthcoming EAT ME, DRINK ME, and he’s being no less discreet about his bond with his new flame, telling French newspaper Le Parisien (via People):

I’ve found my double, my twin, with my new girlfriend, Evan Rachel Wood.

Marilyn’s 38. He went on:

She’s l9 and certainly that’s very young, but that’s not a problem for me. She likes the same things as me. She understands I like to get up when night falls and go to sleep at dawn.

The nocturnal couple met on the set for Marilyn’s upcoming horror flick Phantasmagoria, though one assumes they advanced their relationship considerably before realizing they had that all-important sleep-by-day thing in common. Manson’s ex Dita Von Teese cited “irreconcilable differences” in the divorce (read: that crazy bitch likes to sleep at night) and recently said she and Marilyn “are not friends … But we don’t hate each other or anything.” Guess which one of the two “If I Was Your Vampire” is about.

Marilyn called the track “the new ‘Bela Lugosi’s Dead’ … It’s the all-time goth anthem.” Take a listen at MySpace and judge the degree of Bauhaus blasphemy. (In fairness, it’s twenty times better than “Heart Shaped Glasses.”)
