Brooklyn trio Prince Rama entered a psychedelic storm in the video for “Om Namo Shivaya,” one of three songs on Shadow Temple they adapted from a traditional Indian chant. If you remember their bio, sisters Taraka and Nimai Larson and their friend Michael Collins were living on a Hare Krishna commune/farm in Florida before attending art school in Boston. That, and their fourth album Shadow Temple was recorded in Kurt Vonnegut’s grandson’s cabin and a haunted church by Rusty Santos, Avey Tare, and Deakin. All of this seems important to getting into the Ian Colon-directed clip for “Lightening Fossil.”
Shadow Temple is out via Paw Tracks.
