40 million records sold and he can't afford to hire a bass player?
So does anyone know a remix that actually improves on the original?
Kinda looks like half the commenters here were paid to comment. Lovely song though.
Comes a time in every band's life where they turn into dad rock.
I agree. Even Brian Eno didn't manage to ruin this one.
It's not so much the inclusion of Adele, but more that she's on this list and Radiohead isn't. Can anyone truly say they prefer Adele to Radiohead?
My brother says the Puro Instinct songs sounds like a Debbie Gibson cover. I tend to agree.
But it sounds exactly like the original. They didn't add anything to it whatsoever. They did the same with the Radiohead cover but at least that one required some skill.
Excellent track. 4/12 - is that's 12th of April or 4th of December?
Not sure I understand the Stereogum fascination with her. To me she sounds like any other chart music artist (Lady Ga Ga, Rhinanna, etc). Am I missing something?
Kinda disappointed the radio DJ didn't refer to them as "Juana's Addiction" (Excellent song)
The second track is kinda good. The first one sounds a bit like run of the mill dance music.
I really wish he's make another Desaparecidos album.
Awesome news. Can't wait to hear the outcome. (providing they actually make it through the recording sessions without killing each other)
Sad to see some of these bands go. I guess the silver lining is that we don't have to endure another Fratellis album.
Alice Cooper and Tom Waits should've gotten it a long time ago. In the end of the day, Bon Jovi had a couple of good albums and then evolved into Michael Bolton.
I sure hope it's not gonna sound like Brian Eno. For me that usually translates to "The band didn't manage to write good songs so they say it sounds like Brian Eno"
I'm surprised nobody mentioned Rotary Downs. Probably my album of the year. Can't decide whether there were too many good albums this year or just a bunch of average ones.
All of their music is compressed like this. I guess that's their sound. Excellent song!
Yeah, the Eminem album is terrible. An hour of him whining like a little girl.
Heh heh, NME trying to look credible. They've never written about half of these bands.
Heh heh, looks like Sony Music took down his files: http://deerhuntertheband.blogspot.com/2010/11/your-files-have-been-deleted.html
Oasis -minus he talented one. Would be more interesting to hear what Noel is up to. Actually it wouldn't.
I think I saw a FLAC version floating around the P2P sites
I'm no Cold War Kids expert, but this is one of the better songs I've heard by them.
Conspiracy theory aside, it's really depressing to read that Dando is a still a junkie. He's an amazing talent.
It must be really sad for a musicians to get to a point where people are raising money for them to quit. Kinda recalls the "Paul is Dead" thing. Fans were so disappointed with Paul McCartney that they preferred to believe that he was really dead.
Just saying that I know a couple of bands who contacted him and he was happy to record them no questions asked (for a fee of course). Interpret that as you want.
If you contact Albini and ask him to produce you or record your band, he'd do it no questions asked as long as you pay him. How's that for integrity?
Excellent stuff! Seems like Corgan is on a roll. Really looking forward to hearing more tunes.
Now that they've showed us the entire movie in the trailer, there'd better be at least 2 hours worth of new Radiohead music in it for me to pay for a ticket.
"Weirdos"? All Delighted People is the best music release of the year so far.
Good album. Could've done with a bit less beeps and bleeps (they're kinda dated), but all in all it's way better than most of the stuff that's out there at the moment.
It's better than "Dear Catastrophe Album"...I'll give 'em that.
It doesn't suck, it's just all exactly the same.
So according to Stereogum Rock N' Roll is dead?
