I'm pretty sure that whoever whittled down the nominee list totally forgot, and had to check in the Wal Mart music section until they found five CDs that qualified. To think that if only they'd chosen Target, Pearl Jam would have totally owned that shit.
Absolutely cheesy. That's what they're about right now - look at everything surrounding Day & Age. That said, this is a pretty legitimately good song, Christmas/charity single or not.
If you limit your list to anything less than seven digits, someone's going to bitch what you put on it and what you left on. No need for the laundry list.
I may in fact be the only one glad to see Ida Maria in here - it isn't as divisive or as memorable as a lot of the year's big stuff, but there's not a bad song on the album. "Stella" was one of my favorites last year and she delivered plenty more.
Working in a theater means I didn't actually, you know, get to see it, but I caught the end, and it pissed me off.
No funeral scene = fail. It's what gives the movie it's closure! They completely crapped out on the ending, between the battle and the funeral. I half expect them to cut the Battle of Hogwarts to five minutes, even with a split seventh book.
Just another reminder that talking heads aren't about answers and solutions, they're about proving how wrong those motherfuckers on the other side are.
