They are still very much queer/trans people so a little advocacy will always be part of the package. Honestly, I don't get this argument at all. Yea, they championed safe spaces, inclusiveness, queer visibility, trans rights - and all of a sudden that's suppose to go away because one of them got accused of sexual assault? Like, they're sitting there like "This is what I get for being so PC!" Doubtful, guys.
I strongly agree. If "we're stronger together" then why is she being petty. They both have been, sure but if she actually believed what she said, she wouldn't engage the feud with a "diss" track and the playground comment "She started it."
I think the thing is that nobody is selling the album/claiming the sale of the album. Like they have no label and no distribution...so really, yes - this is just about money and where does it go when nobody wants it or there's no active contract for it.
I still think it's a great album. And I'm very sorry that I can't separate the way art makes me feel from the artist sometimes. I mean, I still love "Being and Time" and "Annie Hall". I know, I know. I'm just awful.
Great piece! Really felt that first paragraph. Been there. Been there. Been there!
FYI - the line you're quoting (Do you wanna ask me something?) is from New Trick, not Sissy.
My god, if only this album existed when I was baby trans.
