No offense taken whatsoever. I appreciate it actually. You're a very thoughtful dude who expresses these...inner conflicts...much better than I do. I just wanted to keep my initial response short because of that "gotcha" thing ;). I honestly did not consider my own influence here so that's something for me to consider in the future for those looking to get into metal.

Seriously, this band causes me great consternation. I was in deep before knowing any of that. Obviously, it used to be easier to ignore that stuff but these days you can't. I'm conflicted. And I have no excuse except for the music.
I’m the other metalhead that doesn’t get ATG. I really don’t care about labels -just music that gives me the feels - and they’ve never done it for me. Every time Michael writes about them though I question my sanity and try again. Still not my bag. Tons of respect for them. There’s just no accounting for taste.
The pen is mightier than the sword. I just spent more time, by a fucking country mile, with Therion than I ever had before. I finally checked into my hotel and have a full day of exhibiting tomorrow. And I am not done with all those hyperlinks up there.
