"There's clearly no music based news to report anymore...let's run that 500 best albums issue"
Mechanical Bull...Shit.
The only audience to hear Daft Punk play live this year.
I really wish Daft Punk would put out more than keep on blue balling us with all this hyper flashy hype shit. A little live performance here and there wouldn't go a miss if that's you profession and the general public seem to enjoy it.
Fantastic video obviously trying to win back some hearts. The song itself is pretty interesting though with that intentionally repetitive structure. Sure it's not a hit, but maybe it doesn't need to be, it's just a quirky song that sits on a record of other different kinds of songs.
Yes I think we all agree, first song that comes to mind. This version especially: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d_SDkB7Vm3A
Owtch there go Mac Demarco and Majical Cloudz.
Are you trying to stir shit with this post? I guess in some way this could potentially be an overblown statement to coincide with the Yeezus minimalist aesthetic. But also a confusing one if so, as the collaboration somehow goes against the rejection of high end designers that he seems to protest on the record. However maybe I'm just misunderstanding where he stands with anything anymore, it's all rather confusing. No videos, no singles...he's a video, oh wait, here's a single etc.
These are going to be really boring results. (It almost goes without saying this may end up being the most down voted comment of the week).
'Honestly at this point, I could give a fuck about selling a million records as long as I put out an album for the summer that y'all can rock to for all fuckin' summer.' —from the man himself. ...so here's hoping!
Something out of this world from Yeezus no doubt.
...of course he does. And somehow a part of me is asking if Courtney Love getting paid a cut?
Although Thom is kinda pioneering it groups like Dutch Uncles are doing this dance video thing now too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dHXxKitLdrU
From watching Z. Cole Smith and Diiv live I'd say he very much is coming across very Cobain influenced.
