Favourite band ever! This would be my list: 01. Disintegration 02. Boys Don't Cry (aka Three Imaginary Boys) 03. Pornography 04. Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me 05. Head on the Door 06. Seventeen Seconds 07. Faith 08. The Top 09. Wish -When things get much worse- 10. Bloodflowers 11. Wild Mood Swings 12. The Cure 13. 4:13 Dream And if I were to add their "Japanese Whispers" compilation it would be in 5th place.
Am I the only one who thinks his debut is a great album also?
I remember watching The Wedge on Much Music when I was 15 and "Lover I Don't Have to Love" came on and I thought the video was shit, but the song remained in my head. Still my favourite Bright Eyes and still one of my favourite albums.
This one is a little more interesting than their first single from their new album, but I'm still waiting for a "wow".
She couldn't go mainstream with her music so now she is going indie. I bet new album by her to be released next year.
Six Cups was hard for me to listen to, it was awkward sounding and sometimes TOO repetitive.
There better be a best of each track comp at the end of this.
I like this one more.
You need to do a "Worst To Best" Sonic Youth discography.
My Hot Chip vote is "Let Me Be Him". My favourite track vote would have to be Spiritualized - "So Long You Pretty Thing".
I have a feeling this will be popular with Burial fans.
Yeah, bad font choice.
Have you seen "Volume Up" by 4Minute?
Hmm, I wasn't expecting much but this is actually a really great new track.
Amazing artist. I thank my mom for playing me her music when I was a kid (along with The Cramps and Kate Bush).
Sounds like a boring Neko Case album.
"Starfish and Coffee" is still my favourite track from that album.
Well thanks for the miss A introduction, I'm really loving their album.
"Shampoo" by After School is a great song, surprised it wasn't on here.
When the guitar solo slows down it sounds like Interpol. I like this song quite a bit, I also really liked his debut.
This sounds so AM radio.
I couldn't watch more than 1 minute of that Karmin performance. The Burial EP was an extremely delightful surprise. Never thought I would enjoy it as much as I do.
Strange, I kinda like it.
Hey, "Seven Nation Army". I would delete 80 of these tracks if it were to ever be a playlist I'd like.
She was my favourite rising artist last year and now she makes me happy releasing such a great album. Hopefully her being on a M83 track will get her more noticed. And if I must add "In Your Nature" is by far the album's jam.
He sounds a lot like the guy from OMD.
Starting to sound more like a band now than a solo project. Pretty good track, excited to hear more.
One overlooked artist for the past two years has been Tesla Boy. I'm not sure how they're doing in Europe, but they haven't made any splash in North America so far.
I only know 3 of these acts -_-.
Stridulum II was released as a UK LP (Stridulum + Valusia with the omission of "Poor Animal"). North America got the 2 EP release.
Wow, I just scrolled through 5 minutes of "where is?! where is?!".
I love that you do this. Always find your playlists enjoyable. I wouldn't of heard Holy Other last month if you did make these things.
I'm excited about Lady Gaga. As for The Avalanches, I agree with everyone else, I'll believe it when I see it. Also yay for Jens Lekman, M83, The Wrens, Patrick Wolf, Deerhoof, Tennis, Burial (should have been on the other list!), The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, The Go! Team, The Strokes and Radiohead.
"too recognizable" Yeah, I noticed that too, but I'm still enjoying this. Night Ripper is still his best though.
