As someone who works in the food industry, I would’ve been fired too if I played a song like that in front of customers. Now a customer going out of their way to make sure they’re fired for it is a bit much, but if you’re playing music from your phone on spotify you should probably check if there’s explicit language in any of the songs ♂️ that shit just doesn’t fly.

Oh my god, I hate Lena Dunham as much as the next person but this is such a non-story. She couldn't properly take care of her dog, so she found a home that could provide better care for him than she could. I don't see what's wrong with this. Honestly it sounds like the responsible decision in this situation.

For real, r + 7 is a straight-up masterpiece. Not to sound too hyperbolic but that album seriously changed the way I think about music (and Replica too, to a lesser extent). In my top 5 of the decade for sure.
I'm glad Russian Mind made the top 3, though. Out of all the Rifts album that one stands above the others.
As a die-hard Sufjan fan, I think I agree with Will. I don't think Sufjan "didn't care" about these songs like Will said, but I do think it was a bit underwhelming considering the five year break between C+L and Age of Adz and the latter album's expansive and maximalist quality. I was hoping for an album that built off the sound of that album or at least moved in a new direction. I got the feeling that I would have really loved C+L if it came out like 8 years ago when I was really into sad-bastard folk, but it didn't hit me as much as I had hoped to. And I really hate how the majority of music publications were pushing the opinion that it was his best work, and now this hostility towards the opinion that maybe it wasn't THAT great of an album. C+L is his most emotional work for sure. But his best? I don't think so.
Totally agree with you Bloc. Yeah, Ken Bone's opinion on Trayvon Martin is deeply shitty I'll admit, but I can't help but feel bad for the guy. He went viral essentially because people were mocking how he looked (in a playful way w/o actually disparaging him, but come on, we all know if he didn't have that mustache and was a normal weight this wouldn't even be a thing right now), and now we're digging up his internet past and judging him like he's running for office. I get it, Trump's a despicable human being and voting for is seriously questionable act of character, but something we always forget is if we travel outside our little blue urban bubbles and go to coal country where Ken Bone lives, it's hard to find people who AREN'T voting for Trump. And lots of them are just doing it out of loyalty to the Republican Party and their values (not that this is totally justifies it). I imagine Ken is probably one of the only ones among his coworkers who is even considering voting for Hillary.
Also, dude hasn't even voted yet. He's fucking UNDECIDED and he's still getting roasted, lol. He doesn't deserve all this ire more than half of the country does. This election is seriously bringing out the fucking worst in people.
