M.I.A. has been in the news a whole lot lately, usually for pretty-bad reasons. But despite a looming new album, we haven’t heard a proper new song from her since the still-great “Bad Girls.” Over the weekend, though, she Tweeted a YouTube link. The video in question features a bunch of kids dancing absurdly well to a two-minute clip of a new track called “Come Walk With Me,” which sounds like vintage M.I.A. Check it out below.

Still no news on when this new album may be coming out. M.I.A.’s been Tweeting frustratedly lately, which is never a good sign for an imminent release date.

    “…which sounds like vintage M.I.A….”

It makes me feel old that there once was a time seemingly not too long ago where M.I.A. was considered fresh and new, and now we’re reminiscing about her “vintage” days. That’s fine, though — I always felt Arular was her best. The songs there tend to hit you with a few hard elbows in the first few seconds, leaving you without an arm tasting your blood.

  2. The catchy tune and the happy video brought a big smile to my face. Happy Monday, everyone!

  3. M.I.A. never disappoints. First class pop artist all the way.
