Blur - "Under The Westway" Video

Under The Westway” is one of two new studio songs that Britpop greats Blur shared with the world earlier this week. They’ve now released a video for the excellently regal video, and it’s a simple enough thing: Just an scene of the four band members, along with a few supplemental musicians, sitting in a circle and playing the song live-in-studio. It works because the song is great. Watch it below.

“Under The Westway” and “The Puritan” are out now on iTunes.

  1. I prefer just seeing these dudes in a studio playing together rather than a proper music video because here in the States, heaven knows we’ve been deprived of putting our eyes on THE GREATEST BRITISH BAND OF ALL TIME.

  2. This song is so freaking lovely. I’ve never really listened to Blur beyond hearing Song 2 on the radio when I was in middle school — this song piqued my interest and now I’m a coupl’a hours deep into a Blur binge on Spotify.

    • they have a great catalogue, but their self-titled album and 13 are where it’s at. that’s where Albarn’s ear for melody meets Coxon’s genius at distortion. Great couple of albums. ‘Think Tank’ is great as well but missing Coxon and a little similar to a Gorillaz record.
