Passion Pit - "Gossamer"

Passion Pit’s sophomore album Gossamer is on the way, and we’ve already heard the early tracks “Take A Walk” and “I’ll Be Alright,” both of which touch on very different ends of the band’s aesthetic spectrum. And now here’s yet another very different track: “Constant Conversations,” a sunny, patient piece of whiteboy soul. Give it a listen below.

Gossamer is out 7/24 on Columbia.

  1. This is good.

  2. This is the first track that has me excited for their new album. It’s not a retread of their old sound and takes the band in a stunning new different.

  3. Now this is more like it.

  5. Yeah, it’s a nice change of pace jam and I like it, but it’s not a Pitchfork Best New Music jam. I mean, if they’re going to shit all over the new POP ETC album, this doesn’t fall too far from that tree in terms of style.

  6. Seriously loving the new Passion Pit track “Constant Conversations”. so soulful! check it out: http://bit.ly/Mj3bvg. Can’t wait for the album on the 24th!

  7. This is so opposite of Take a Walk (and really, from the usual sound of Passion Pit overall) but I love it. I love the range they’re showing us and if I wasn’t excited for Gossamer before, I definitely am now! Hurry up, JUly 24!
