No Doubt – “Settle Down”

By Tom Breihan / July 16, 2012 - 8:47 am

No Doubt’s last studio album came out 11 years ago, but they’re coming back in fall with the new LP Push And Shove, and they worked with Major Lazer on it. Today, they debut first single “Settle Down,” a lithe and bubbly new-wave track that somehow lasts for six minutes. The track echoes Santigold in the same way that Santigold’s music echoes No Doubt, if that makes any sense at all. The video, directed by their “Don’t Speak” collaborator Sophie Muller, should be arriving today. (UPDATE: Here it is.) Below, stream the song and check out a teaser trailer for the video.
