Bob Dylan - Tempest

Bob Dylan, quite possibly the single most important musician alive on the planet, will release his much-touted new studio album Tempest, and we’ve already heard “Duquesne Wistle,” the warm ramble of a first single (and seen its great video). And right now, the entire LP is streaming for free at iTunes. To hear it, click here.

Tempest is out 9/11 on Columbia.

  1. After one listen, this is an incredible album. It will deserve all the accolades that it gets in the dinosaur music press.

The lead single was classic misdirection: this is some dark stuff. Bob outdoes Tom Waits at his own game on some of these tracks. And the band is ace — just a great sounding record.

    • “Bob outdoes Tom Waits at his own game on some of these tracks” As if I wasn’t excited enough. I can’t wait to go into the Tempest pop-up store in London on Monday, come home and spin the record. It’s taking a LOT of restraint to not listen, especially after hearing Scarlet Town already.

  2. I wonder if this is a one day deal, I have it opened in iTunes and I don’t see anywhere to stream…?

  3. been a Dylan fan since early days, he gets better all the time, greatest songwriter and story teller ever, really great CD, voice still good with age
