Canadian pop-rock stars Metric already have themselves an effervescent synthpop hit with “Breathing Underwater,” and now downtown dance-popper MNDR has remixed the track, amping up its fleet-footed, blippy qualities. The song’s chorus is still a steamroller, but now the beat underneath it moves a whole lot more. Download the remix below.

  1. Weird. Good.

  2. Very cool. I’ve loved Metric for years, and MNDR is one of my favorite up-and-comers, so for me, this is a pretty amazing melding of the minds.

  3. As seen with her work with the Crystal Method or even Tiesto, Haines’ voice just works with an electronic track. I love this.

  4. So MNDR takes the worst track on the new Metric album and makes it… not better. Kay.
