Twelve Reasons To Die, Ghostface Killah’s new full-length collaboration with producer Adrian Younge, has a conceptual narrative arc about a black mafioso who’s betrayed and murdered and who returns as an avenging, demonic murderous force. The new video for the song “The Rise Of The Ghostface Killah” brings to life the moment where our hero first returns and begins to get revenge on his old associates. Director David Wong makes everything look like an Italian giallo from the ’70s, RZA appears as the album’s narrator, and Ghost’s old 36 Chambers-era fencing-mask look returns, partly because it’s badass and partly because Ghost isn’t actually in the video.
