Clams Casino - "Bookfiend"

Here’s a comparison that makes so much sense that nobody, except the actual collaborators, thought of it: DOOM’s muttered free-associative raps over Clams Casino’s murmuring rap dreamscapes. The two have teamed up on a new track called “Bookfiend,” and it’s just as pretty as you’d expect from a producer whose beats move like vapor and a rapper who knows how to navigate head-blown tracks. Listen to it below.

“Bookfiend” is set to appear on a forthcoming DOOM project on Lex, but that’s all we know about it. It appeared on Clams’ Soundcloud this morning with no information. Netflix to the head.

  2. mmm- I havnt felt too good about future DOOM stuff and this makes that feeling more real- the JJ DOOM was good but not up to the standard I feel DOOM has set- seems to spitting way slow in these newer works- lyrics arnt terrible but just doesnt compare to the mmm food stuff or madvillain, you know?

  3. This is one of those pairings that gets me out of bed in the morning.

    DOOM + CLAMS = Genius

  4. shit is HOT. hopefully they collab a couple songs together. also in a perfect world clams remixing madlib or vice versa would be too much for me to handle..
