Fiona Apple,

Fiona Apple made our favorite album of last year, but after she releases albums, she tends to disappear from the map for long, long periods of time. So it’s a delight to see that Apple hasn’t yet gone back into seclusion. Last week, she gave us the great Paul Thomas Anderson-directed video for “Hot Knife.” And today, she’s announced a fall tour with the California singer-songwriter Blake Mills. Mills also opened for Apple on tour last year, but the current tour is being billed as “Anything We Want: An Evening With Fiona Apple And Blake Mills,” which suggests equal billing and possible collaborations. An evening with Apple and literally any human being on earth would be worth your time and your money, so take advantage. We’ve got the dates below.

  1. In all seriousness, with this news, let’s also take a moment to pause for what I am assuming is the death of her dog / best friend.

  2. Awesome. Getting tickets for this is gonna be a killer.
