Bruce Springsteen performs at the 7th annual "Stand Up For Heroes" event at Madison Square Garden on November 6, 2013 in New York City.

Last night the Theater at Madison Square Garden hosted the seventh annual Stand Up For Heroes veterans benefit featuring comedy from Jon Stewart, Jerry Seinfeld, Bill Cosby, and Jim Gaffigan, plus musical performances from Roger Waters and, closing out the night, Bruce Springsteen. Upon taking the stage with his acoustic guitar, the Boss lamented that there hadn’t been any dirty jokes for this room full of soldiers. He then took it upon himself to remedy that with a trio of giggity-giggity groaners involving erections, whorehouses, and the like. “I didn’t say they were good dirty jokes,” Springsteen quipped. “I just said they were jokes.”

He also gave stirring performances of “Dancing In The Dark,” “If I Should Fall Behind” (with wife/bandmate Patti Scialfa), and “Dream Baby Dream.” You can watch the whole wildly amusing display below; the jokes are at 1:30, 7:06, 13:45, and the last one is pretty funny if you ask me, although I also love 2 Chainz.
