Kitty - "Second Life"

“I’m tired of waiting for other people to decide what happens to my music because it’s boring.” And with that, Kitty unleashes the first track off her debut full-length flowerviolence. She’s still working on the album, but according to her recent Reddit AMA, it should be out in the winter. If “Second Life” is a sign of what’s to come, her debut should be interesting to say the least. The sparkling dub and bass track sees the Florida rapper alternating between whispers and glittery explosions under the song’s airy beat. The young rapper has come a long way since last year’s Haha, I’m Sorry EP and this song serves as evidence of that maturation. Listen below.

There’s no release date for flowerviolence, but her latest EP D.A.I.S.Y. Rage is out now.

  1. Gorgeous backing track, but man, my two-year-old has better flow. Promising, though!

  2. I have always found her lack of flow endearing! Her beat selection is also brilliant, it’s like Grimes-esque dream-pop/rap! Excited for a full length!
