London Grammar on BBC Live Lounge

Miley Cyrus’s gleaming gut-rip ballad “Wrecking Ball” is my favorite song of the year, and I am fully prepared to physically fight anyone who thinks I’m being ironic with that pick. The British trio London Grammar, whose track “Interlude” we posted back in August, must have some fond feelings for it. Like HAIM and Angel Haze before them, London Grammar have done their own version of the hit. London Grammar did theirs in an in-studio session for BBC’s Live Lounge, doing a soft and ethereal take on the song. Watch them play it below.

London Grammar’s album If You Wait is out now on Metal & Dust Recordings.

  1. Dang, that singer has a set of pipes!!!!! Masculine sounding but in that good way. Instumentally though this song is too thin and undernourished and lacks spice, vigor, and expectation and counterexpectation. But carried by the beautiful singing successfully.

  2. unnngggghhhh beautiful
